Outreach
Latin America and the Caribbean suffers from a deficit in resources, training and expertise in the information management field: staff are under-trained, frequent updates in software packages are beyond the reach of slim budgets and the lack of concrete methodologies and standards leads to disorganized workflows.
Through its workshops, Consorcio ACHIRA promotes capacity building in key areas including improving efficiency, quality and relevance of knowledge exchange and communications using electronic media.
Through its network of members Consorcio ACHIRA aims to provide technical advice and support to strengthen information management capacity through the appropriate use of ICTs (Information and Communication Technologies).
